The Chicago Fire Department Foundation was pleased to donate 1,000 smoke detectors to communities throughout Chicago in April 2020 via the Chicago Fire Department and Top Box Foods.
Our work with the CFD and non-profit community-based organizations continues. Recently, we donated 500 smoke detectors to Top Box Foods whose work is focused within food deserts to increase access to healthy and affordable food. It was a sincere pleasure to deliver these smoke detectors to Sheila Berner Kennedy, co-founder of Top Box Foods.
