It is with such heartfelt sadness that we share Eileen Coglianese, President of the Chicago Fire Department’s Gold Badge Society (GBS) and CFD Foundation Board member passed away peacefully on March 4. This loss is felt throughout our GBS and CFD families. Eileen has given so much to the GBS from day 1 serving as founding Secretary, Chair to the CFD Fallen Firefighter/Paramedic Memorial Park, partnership with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF), Illinois Survivors Group, and ultimately GBS President throughout its 30 years history.
Eileen’s support, guidance, and love not only to CFD Line of Duty Death survivors, but on a state and federal level through the years will never be forgotten.
