Protecting our residents is essential. This week, in partnership with Home Depot, Mesirow and Ellie Forman, the Foundation provided CO detectors, smoke alarms and portable fire extinguishers to 100 families associated with Shields Middle School in the Brighton Park neighborhood. Smoke alarms and CO detectors are a key part of a home fire escape plan. PSA: test your alarms once a month, and replace when 10 years old!
